Joe Walters: Joe Walters starts with observation of native plants then through a unique process he invented uses simple materials such as clay, wire mesh, sand and paint to create a rich, textured sculptures that have the appearance of metal.
Steven Vitiello, World Trade Center Recordings: Winds After Hurricane Floyd : As artist-in-residence at the World Trade Center in 1997, Stephen Vitiello captured the sound of wind whipping around the buildings and the structures’ response to create his World Trade Center Recordings: Winds After Hurricane Floyd.
Janet Biggs, A Step On the Sun!!: Janet Biggs’ video and sound piece A Step On the Sun!! explores the lives of sulfur miners working at Indonesia volcano and Cao Guimaraes’ Limbo , shot in his native Brazil, juxtaposes still photography of places, faces and objects for non-narrative story telling.
