Comtemporary composer, concert pianist, and conductor Joan Tower is lauded by The New Yorker as "one of the most successful woman composers of all time." Tower's Sequoia will be a debut for SOA. Pascal Godart, accomplished French pianist, performs Ravels' cleverly pieced Piano Concerto in G. Sibelius' Symphony No. 5, which was comissioned to commemorate his 50th birthday, presented in its final, revised form.
