• 6:30 p.m.: Dr. Edward J. Cashin Memorial Woodrow Wilson Lecture: "Lincoln as a Southerner," presented by Dr. Orville Vernon Burton
• 7:30 p.m.: Reception
Saturday, November 12, 2011At the Morris Museum of Art
• 8:30–9:00 a.m.: Registration, coffee, and snacks
• 9:00–10:00 a.m.: "Henry Cumming and the Secession Debate," presented by Dr. David Connolly
• 10:15–11:15 a.m.: "Augusta and the Formation of a Confederate Church," presented by Dr. Erskine Clarke
• 11:15–11:45 a.m.: Lunch
• 11:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m.: "African Americans and the Civil War: Causes, Conflict, and Consequences," presented by Dr. Ronald Bailey
• 1:00 p.m.: Board a bus for a tour emphasizing Augusta in 1861. Stop at the Augusta Arsenal, the Augusta Museum of History, and First Presbyterian Church
• 3:30 p.m.: "Augusta in 1861," presented by Dr. Lee Ann Caldwell
• 4:30 p.m.: Return to the Morris Museum of Art
